The tool itself
Pictory
- What it does
- Turns a script or a blog URL into a video with stock clips and an AI voice.
- Who it is for
- People who already have a script or a blog post and want a narrated video without filming. Not for someone who needs an ongoing free plan, or who wants to edit footage they already recorded.
- Free plan
- The page offers a 14-day free trial and says that trial can create 3 video projects. It does not list an ongoing free plan. The trial column shows 15 video minutes and a 5-minute maximum length.
- Price we checked
- Month-to-month prices on the page are Starter $29, Professional $59, and Team $199. The annual view, billed annually, shows a Pictory 2.0 offer of Starter $25, Professional $35, and Team $119, with those month-to-month figures crossed out. Enterprise is custom. Prices are in USD.
- The catch
- The lower annual prices are labeled an exclusive Pictory 2.0 offer. A trial can end and then bill you, and the refunds answer says paid subscriptions are not refunded. Unused video minutes do not roll over. The voice and pictures can look synthetic.
